During a meeting with a delegation of Harvard University students in Islamabad on August 26, 2023, PM Kakar expressed the importance of maintaining a strong and constructive relationship with the US. He stated, "We want a good relationship with the US. However, it is not necessary that we agree with everything the US says or does. There are areas of disagreement between the two countries on several matters."
His remarks reflect the diplomatic reality that nations often have both converging and diverging perspectives on a range of international matters. This nuanced approach allows countries to work together where their interests align while also respecting their sovereignty and differing viewpoints.

He expressed the caretaker government's focus on bringing the undocumented economy into the tax net and investing in human resources during their short tenure. He underlined Pakistan's rich natural resources and talented population, with a commitment to producing a high-tech, educated, and skilled workforce.
The prime minister commended the Pakistani diaspora in the US as a success story, highlighting their contributions to American society. He addressed global climate concerns, stating that climate change poses an existential threat. He suggested that while the world sees the US as a major power, there is an expectation for it to transition into a green power.
PM Kakar appreciated the diversity and tolerance in American society, viewing it as a model for other countries. In other matters, Kakar directed the National Highway Authority (NHA) to expedite the reconstruction of Pinjra Bridge, facilitating citizens' travel between Quetta and Jacobabad. He assured resolution of issues in the coal mining industry in Balochistan, emphasizing the safety of miners.
The meeting was attended by federal ministers, Balochistan's caretaker chief minister, provincial ministers, and officials.
