BCCI Officials' Visit to Pakistan

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials are expected to visit Pakistan during the upcoming Asia Cup, scheduled to begin on August 30. According to sources, BCCI President Roger Binny and Vice President Rajeev Shukla are likely to travel to Pakistan.

The invitation for their visit was extended in the context of the Asia Cup by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and other cricket boards. This move comes as part of the preparations for the mega event.

The upcoming 2023 Asia Cup, scheduled to take place in Pakistan and Sri Lanka from August 30 to September 17, is set to be an exciting cricket event.

BCCI Secretary and President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), Jay Shah, has been invited by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to attend the tournament. Earlier reports had suggested that Jay Shah would not be present, but the invitation indicates a potential change.

Furthermore, ACC board members along with prominent figures from the International Cricket Council (ICC) hierarchy, including ICC Chairman Greg Barclay, ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice, and General Manager Cricket Wasim Khan, have also received invitations.

The 2023 Asia Cup will feature two groups: Group A includes Pakistan, Nepal, and India, while Group B consists of Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka. The tournament's opening match will be between Pakistan and Nepal on August 30 in Multan. This will mark Nepal's debut appearance in the Asia Cup, adding an element of excitement to the event.
